My homework policy (scroll down to find the homework for the week):
Friday, is the due date for all assignments that I give throughout the week. I will not take any late assignments unless a student has been absent. I keep the assignments posted in my room throughout the week, and I remind students every day that the work is due by Friday. I also tell them the work becomes a zero if it's turned in late - unless they were absent.
I do not want to ruin a child's grade because of forgetfulness, so I give them chances on big tests to drop their lowest grade.
If I give an assignment late in the week and I think they need more time, that assignment will be due the following week.
